Yeah, I'm seeing this too. I had to kill the python.exe process on one of them 
even. 
My testing was on Vista with wxPython 2.8.11.0.

I'll revert the change for now: there's probably underlying problems that 
haven't 
been sorted out at the wxWidgets level, which also explains why 
double-buffering 
isn't (yet) the default on Windows.
