The docs should get generated on a regular basis and the uploading to my server with my setup here is just taking too long and so I haven't done it for ages. The doc are html pages with lots of images (gallery and inheritance diagrams) and the Sphinx "doctrees" (I think that is used for the search stuff), all this means that they are big (about 250MB).
