The only other thing to consider (and probably shoot down) would be to copy in 
some 
sort of markup.

I think the general case is what we want, so that really argues for plain text 
delimited with \t, and rows delimited with \n. If \t or \n appear in one of the 
cell's values, I guess we need to escape them.
