I understand you. But if I understand the PEP -8, you are violating it with 85 chars - which states lines not longer than 79 chars. How's that any different than my limit? With the descriptive names we use today it's very easy to pass your 85 char limit. Sure you can add '\' but some of the editors don't like it and then there is the debuggers.

BTW I suggested that we keep with the 79.
