I'm sure it's possible but so far I have not found wxPython Phoenix to
be very friendly toward python 2. Point in fact I had better success
getting the dGrid running under python 3 than I did with python 2. From
what I can see on the surface Phoenix does little in terms of providing
new features. So why not stay with classic wxPython when using python 2
and phoenix when using python3. Anyway I'll look into it but I only
have so much time.

Well, if at all possible, please keep the six stuff. Others may benefit from
what you're doing, and not all will be on Python 3, unfortunately.
