My bad - I didn't mean to give the impression that you have to be able to write XML yourself. We've just chosen that as our format for saving the information used to control your application's configuration.

The AppWizard is a GUI tool that creates a couple of these files: one that controls the controls that are displayed in the app, and one that stores the database connection information. There are two other GUI tools for editing these files: the FieldSpecEditor and the CxnEditor. So you can create a Dabo app and edit its appearance without having to go "under the hood". There are GUI tools that will make creating and polishing your Dabo app pretty easy.
