Trying to figure out what data type to use for my surrogate keys.
I am playing with MySql workbench and wanted to make a db for my VFP app. VFP app uses GUIDs. skimming the MySql/odbc mail lists seems to point to using varchar(36). that will work, but was wondering if there was anything like Ms's unitueID datatype.
