Anyone ever made a .deb before?

I went to setup dabo on a Ubuntu box and ran into problems:

[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo apt-get install wxpython
E: Couldn't find package wxpython

worked in Hoary, doesn't in dapper.

Guessing this is what I want:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ apt-cache show python-wxversion
Replaces: wxpython2.6-0, wxpython2.5.3
Filename: pool/universe/w/wxwidgets2.6/python-wxversion_2.6.1.2ubuntu2_all.deb
Description: wxWidgets Cross-platform C++ GUI toolkit (wxPython version
selector)
wxWidgets (formerly known as wxWindows) is a class library for C++ providing
GUI components and other facilities on several popular platforms (and some
unpopular ones as well). For more information see http://wxwidgets.org
 .
This package provides the wxPython version selector.

What would be spiffy is if I could add dabodev.com to /etc/apt/sources.list and apt-get install dabo. It is going to happen someday, so why not now?

I went down the build a deb path once before and got lost.
