Yeah that fixes it, now I can at least open up the designer. I'll
doing some work on it.
It's odd, though, that it only happens in your particular setup,
though. It should happen more often, such as when anyone attempts to
set the RowHeight property before accessing it first.
That is why I wondered if it is my OS or wxPython since it comes right
after running the designer, which should be a fairly common thing to
do yet nobody is saying they have problems.

I can see where this error comes from in the dGrid.py code; it's not
a problem with wxPython or Ubuntu or anything. I've posted a fix; let
me know if it removes the error.
