OK, this seems to be a problem with the way that Gtk handles the low- level drawing that is used to draw the borders. I'll have to look into a work-around. Oh, and as you may have noticed, attachments are not allowed on the list, due to all those wonderful contributions to insecurity from the folks at Redmond. If you ever need to post a screenshot, the best way is to create a new issue on the Tracker, where you can post files.

A perhaps unrelated issue is that if you create a new form
using the ClassDesigner, add a label and change the BorderColor using
the 'Edit BorderColor' dialog, the form won't run it errors out with the
following traceback:

        Yep, that's a bug. It's fixed in the commit I just posted.
