Company has a handful of little nifty apps written in Access:
1. simple/basic contact management
2. Convention name tag/badge printer (that will encode an RFID tag)
3. employee flight info - Who is flying where, how, when... What hotel are they
staying at, what client is paying for this, who is the contact (see #1)
4. import .txt (data collected from scanning #2's name tags), convert to .xls,
e-mail to client (see #1) data is also available via a web page.
And 5-10? more things that have been grafted on to make one big ball of ERP.
They know it is fragile, they want it replaced, they want me to talk to them
about it. what else is new?
It would be handy if I could show them some dabo screens that looked similar to
their access screens. I have a feeling there are about 50. I also have a
feeling that in the end, they will all be thrown out and replaced with a new and
improved plan. but it might help me sell whatever it is I am selling if I
could wip up something that resembles what they currently have.
Any suggestions?
C
