If you think about borrowing/daboizing good ideas, have a look at UliPad (the author "limodou" regularly announces on the wxPy list); it has a lot of nice features even if it isn't made for the Mac (e.g. places its windows always at 0,0 - i.e. behind the menu bar - instead of -1,-1 = default location)... I myself use SPE (because I like it and the author is nice), TextWrangler (because I can use 'edit myfile' on the command line), Eclipse (because I've mostly 'mixed language' projects: Python, HTML, PHP, XML, Perl, TeX), vi (because I can use it everywhere via ssh). Bought Komodo but don't like it (and the license runs only on one computer, I need at least 3). At the moment I use dabo mostly to play Montana ;-) last time I tried to get my test app running, the dabo servers went away, and using a web interface with django was much easier. I've not that much time/nerves left after work to code at home... Greetlings from Lake Constance!
