Thanks for promoting Dabo. I have been doing similar things. In general I find the audience very receptive but lack an understanding as why and what Dabo does to simplify programming app's in general. Most of the Linux users are not business app programmers. So many miss the importance of Dabo. The biggest problem I have is keeping peoples interest in the project. Several have expressed an interest after a demo but soon lose interest. This tells me that the learning curve is still very high and requires a need or itch that needs scratching to keep the interest.
What do you think the demographics were in your group with respect to their interest in Linux? BTW I have yet to demo Ed's latest with ClassDesigner. I think this might explain a lot about how to use Dabo. Seeing the ClassDesigner in action will at least get the server guys to think about using Dabo for their admin scripts. -- John Fabiani _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/dabo-users
