I'd had no trouble running the Text Editor before I got involved with the Class Designer issue I reported earlier this week. I assume some change made to fix the latter bug has caused the following:
Platform: Win Python Version: 2.4.4 on win32 Dabo Version: Version 0.8a; Revision UI Version: 2.6.3.3 on wxMSW Steps: 1. Delete the error.log file from the Dabo Runtime directory. 2. Double click the Text Editor shortcut in the Common directory. Observe: The console window appears, outputs several lines of text, the last of which appears to begin with "ERROR", but the window disappears too quickly to read. Text Editor does not appear. Also, a zero-byte error.log file is created in the Dabo Runtime directory. 3. Double-click the Dabo Runtime Engine shortcut in the Common directory. 4. Select the Editor.py file in the IDE directory. Observe: Console window appears briefly and disappears. The Text Editor does not appear. The error.log file in the Dabo Runtime directory contains the following traceback: Traceback (most recent call last): File "daborun.py", line 242, in ?
