It's stable in the sense that it is guaranteed not to have anything
that hasn't been tested extensively. But as development moves
forward, new and improved things cannot be added, since they might
reduce stability. These changes must wait for a full point release.
Paul and I have been over this many times, and as you might have
inferred from my tone, this isn't my ideal solution. I would much
rather have a few bleeding-edge bugs that we can fix quickly than to
continuously have to deal with problems being reported on code that
was udpated several months ago, and reserve point releases for things
that break compatibility with old code, as the 0.7 release did by
requiring SQLite.
