Well, it is neat to see this tool! I have already sent a number of messages to ProFox and thanks to Ed, I have subscribed to this list.
To learn Dabo, I'm planning on converting a mature VFP application which uses a VFP database to use Dabo with a PostgresSQL database. This is a learning experience for me, as the customer is quite happy with the present application. I think this is a good way to learn, as I can make the newbie mistakes and not be under any pressure to create. Here is my first question: I also would like some ideas on good stuff to help me get up to speed with PostgresSQL. i.e. What would be a quick way to migrate/recreate my present database in VFP to PosgresSQL? Would it make sense to write a VFP app to read the VFP database structure and recreate it in PostgresSQL? Personally I think it would be more productive to do it the other way.. i.e. from PostgresSQL, reads VFP structures and creates it in PostgresSQL. That way I would be learning how to do something in PostgresSQL not in fox. First of a zillion questions, I'm sure! <vbg> TIA, Mike _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/dabo-users Searchable Archives: http://leafe.com/archives/search/dabo-users This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/dabo-users/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
