Hi, I am new to dabo, but I have played with it and found it to be an amazing tool! Congratulations to the dev team!
I have tried the app wizard and found out that is very easy to generate a powerful front-end to a predefined database. What if I wanted to generate a frontend that, given a connection, could allow me to do the same to any database and also gave me the possibility modify the database (e.g. create tables, add fields to a table, etc)? Would such an app be hard to develop with dabo? It would be like a db-management app. I know there is a lot of Db-management tools out there, but it would be nice to be able to quickly generate one in python which could be then customized to add extra functionality. I would be nice to have a wizard for a bare-bones db-management app. It's a generally very useful part of many database oriented applications. Thanks again for Dabo! I am anxiously waiting to be able to use the full IDE! cheers, -- Flávio Codeço Coelho registered Linux user # 386432 get counted at http://counter.li.org --------------------------- "software gets slower faster than hardware gets faster" Niklaus Wirth's law --- StripMime Report -- processed MIME parts --- multipart/alternative text/plain (text body -- kept) text/html --- _______________________________________________ Post Messages to: [email protected] Subscription Maintenance: http://leafe.com/mailman/listinfo/dabo-users Searchable Archives: http://leafe.com/archives/search/dabo-users This message: http://leafe.com/archives/byMID/dabo-users/[EMAIL PROTECTED]
