Cool, as I said in a prior message I'm definitely not the one to ask about what cdxml can/cannot do, or what state of flux it is or isn't in. As soon as I get my current project delivered, yep real soon now :), then perhaps I can back away from being heads-down-deep in it and try out some graphical designing using cdxml. I've done the manual way, I can see how it will be easier to maintain the cdxml layout than the hand-coded layout, and would love to help get the Dabo IDE put together.
