Greetings: Coming from VFP that does it all, it is a little daunting to
deal with all of the choice with respect to Python. Your help has been
instrumental in leading me to choices that not only work for me, but I am
really enjoying learning and working with the applications I have chosen.
The question that came up recently was an IDE. I just plain don't get IDLE
which seems to be the default. Well, I get IDLE, but I don't understand how
the run window works and it doesn't look like something I want to spend a
lot of time learning. I still have Pine and Edlin in the archives of my
mind. So I have some suggestions from another list and was wondering what
you thought of them:
Komono
Eclipse with Pydev
KDevelop
Subversion - One person on the list said they were using
Subversion as and IDE for Python?
Feel free to offer suggestions that are not in the list above. Also, if you
think IDLE is worth learning; that is good information, too.
I look forward to your responses.
