Is there any plans to wrap the wxRichTextCtrl? It looks like it could be a useful control for a project I am contemplating. Just to be clear, this isn't a feature request yet, just a query.
A little backround would maybe be good. There is an open-source program out there known as Keynote (Tabbed notebook and personal information manager, with tree structure and strong encryption) that was developed in Pascal/Delphi and is currently sitting in SourceForge with no apparent hope of revival. Homepage: http://www.tranglos.com/free/keynote.html One of the key features of the program is a tree structure of Rich Text boxes, hence the reason for the question. I use it quite a bit and would really appreciate some extensions to it, but have little experience with Pascal and no access to Delphi to do any development. There has been a little talk on the SourceForge forums about attempting to revive it, but with nobody heading up the project or supplying any leadership, it's not too likely to happen. There was also talk of rewriting in something like Python and that immediately brough Dabo to mind. My thoughts were to use Dabo as the framework to recreate the program, allowing it to be completely open source (development tools included). I don't know if it's something that will ever happen, but if anyone has used Keynote, they know how indespensible it can be. It may even be a good "Killer App" to highlight Dabo. Just a few thoughts.
