While things are still very much at the design stage, I'm hoping to
start writing some code that will at least test some of the ideas I
have for the upcoming IDE tool. I want to start a whole new project
for this, so I thought it would be good to pick a name now to use.
We've been stuck with that annoying 'daboide' for several years now,
and I want to avoid that making that mistake again.
So what I've done is taken some of the names that I have thought of,
along with some that others have suggested to me over the past year
as we've talked about the idea of this tool, and put them on a web
page where you can all vote in order to make your preferences known.

Some explanation: this is not a democracy, so don't think that
voting dozens of times for you favorite will mean that your choice
will "win". I reserve the final decision for Paul and myself.
Second, you can vote for multiple choices, or add your own choice to
the list. So be creative!
Third, so that you know what it is we're naming, think of a visual
environment for developing Dabo apps that incorporates the Class
Designer, the Report Designer, the connection editor, a bizobj
designer, etc. - all of the 'goodies' that we have developed over the
years into a single one-stop tool. Since the closest thing most
people think of is Microsoft Visual Studio, the 'studio' names were
suggested frequently, so that newcomers would make the association.
I won't let you know my preferences ahead of time, as I'm interested
in what others think. Now vote!
