There have been several periods where the site was being pounded by
proxy requests, with the heaviest period on the weekend that I was at
FoxForward. I've since gone through the logs and blocked the
originating sites, which helped response time significantly. I still
see bursts of such activity; perhaps that's what is causing the
problem that some are seeing.
