Yes, that's exactly what it's supposed to do. Dabo is being very
actively developed, and this way we can get changes and bugfixes out
quicker. The framework is always checked for updates; individual apps
also check for changes to themselves.

Go back to the __init__.py file that you opened before, and add the
line:
frameworkPath = os.path.dirname(dabo.__file__)
It doesn't matter where you add it; as long as it gets set, everything
else should work. Then try running any of the other apps, and you
should be able to run Web Update from there.
