Ok , I give up !!!After searching for a couple of
weeks for a fetchmail/exim to mysql plugin I haven't
been able to find anything suitable.
The setup that I have is very simple:
A Debian machine fetchmail-s the emails from our
hosted mail server and each user , not very many ,
about 6 , have a forward file in their home dir which
points to the Exchange on the local net.
>From there they use their Outlook-s to grab the
emails.I used this setup because the Exchange pop3
connector wasn't able to retrieve emails sooner than
15 min and I had to set up fetchmail to do this every
120 s because my boss kept complaining that if someone
sends him an email , hey let's meet in half hour , he
was going to get that email 15 min later and it was a
total mess. Not that it will actually happen but , you
know how they are , always complaining about stuff.
So what I'm looking for is a plugin that just copies
every email that passes through exim/fetchmail and
drops it into a database but will still pass it on to
the forward file which will end up on the Exchange.
You might ask , why do you need us for , this is the
Dabo users list?
Well , I want to build a dabo app that's going to look
at those emails independent from Outlook but that's a
long story. And it's a good idea anyway to keep track
of all the stuff that goes on , so let's say you want
to look at all of your e-mails from a year ago you
could dive into the mysql and take a look at those.
We have a CRM software that's doing that but it's
dropping them into an mssql db and the person that
sends you the email has to be added as a contact in
order for the email to show up in the db , again ,
it's a long story.
So if anybody has any idea that might help that would
be great.
Thank you.
