I believe that we've worked out most of those issues, thanks mostly
to our international friends who throw lots of unicode at the
framework. But it wouldn't shock me to learn that there might be one
or two more.
If there is no default system-level encoding specified, Dabo uses
utf-8 as the default encoding.
