Hi all,

I'm about to start into a new project and before I get into it too far, I
thought I'd make sure my assumptions are correct about a couple things. As
background, the application will interact with a table that contains
references to a file's URL on the server. I'd like the app to have a file
picker that will allow the user to upload the associated file at the same
time that they input the information for the entry.

First thing, I know wxPython has the wx.FileDialog. Is the dabo.ui.getFile
method using this object? I can see from the documentation on this method
that PDF files aren't an "understood file type." Since all the files to be
uploaded are going to be PDF's, what's going to be the best way to check for
this?

Next, is ftplib going to be the best way to handle the upload, or does Dabo
have its own way of doing this?

If you have any pointers for me, I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks,
Mike M.
