I could, but I don't think it's necessary. Even if the framework really wouldn't allow this, I wouldn't want to design my databases so any framework is satisfied. The key I use now has to be unique and can't be altered anyway, because it's used as foreign key all over the place. An additional technical PK would be just for easier programming, nothing else.
