OK, I had some time today to fire up my Kubuntu VM and play around
with this. I found that there were places where the menu caption was
being set during the item creation rather than just after. I've just
posted a fix to the subversion repository; if you're running from svn
and using Linux, please let me know if this gets rid of those messages.
