Your firewall is already there, called iptables. To configure it, I recommend 
some 
sort of front-end like firestarter or shorewall. I use shorewall, but 
firestarter is 
easier to get going.

Antivirus isn't nearly as critical on Linux as it is on Windows. However, I do 
scan 
my drives with ClamAV every now and then, and ClamAV runs on all my incoming 
email on 
my mail server (postfix).
