I just noticed the following in the Class Designer running on OS X:
if you mark a column as Visible=False, the captions on any column
after that position are not drawn. Example: create a 5-column grid,
and give each column a different caption. Select the third column, and
change its Visible property in the prop sheet to False (you'll need
the latest revision for that to be exposed). The result is that there
are now 4 visible columns (expected), but only columns 1 & 2 show
captions; the others are blank.
