Has anyone experimented with using Dabo over the internet, maybe in
conjunction with vpn? I'm an experienced Access developer and while there
are a lot of good web frameworks, I've not found any that look like they'd
be as productive as Access + SQL Server (or whatever backend). I wouldn't
care if they were half as productive as what I'm used to, I don't expect a
solution that's as efficient as I currently am with Access. But most web
frameworks I've experimented with require *way* more code to get the basics
done.

I was thinking that Dabo might be able to be adapted to kind of a smart
client form factor; that is, relatively fat client software talking to a
remote backend. I don't care about browser based, I just need distributed. I
still write a lot of client server apps; and for distributed deploys I rely
on terminal services.

Has this topic ever come up before? Has anyone experimented with a more Dabo
distributed deployment scenario?

BTW, I've been paying attention to Dabo for years and it's great to see that
it's doing well.
