It did work back then, but lots of other changes have happened since
then, and MenuDesigner was a casualty. I haven't had the time to spend
re-working it, and other efforts to redesign it have stalled, so for
now I would recommend creating menus in code. It's not difficult to do
in code, as menus are not nearly as variable in appearance as other
GUI elements.
