There is no interface into the control to set the text color. It does
seem odd that you can set the background color, the font sizes and
styles, but not the text color.

That was fixed a while back. I've just confirmed that it's working on
a typical App Wizard-generated application. Can you post your system
information from the Help/About dialog?
