That was Josh Drakes(the conference organizer) idea. He is a Python user/fan and wanted to see some talks on using Python with Postgres. An offer was extended to the Seattle Python group to have a track but there was not enough time to make it happen, maybe next time:) It was a new experience for me. I am a biologist by training, speaking on biology is comfortable, speaking on software not so much. Any way I think the talk did peak some interest in Dabo, so hopefully it was to the good.
