What you can do is go to the property sheet, and then click on the
triangle in the top right to reveal the object tree. Find the sizer
you don't want, right click, select 'Delete', and you're back where
you were.
The Object tree is a very useful view into the design surface,
because it allows you to view and manipulate the sizer objects that
have no visual component.
