AFAIK, the CxnEditor works fine with Firebird. I did some testing with
Firebird when we first added support, and I know the Uwe uses Firebird without
connection problems.

As Adrian suggested, run the tool from a command window to see any
output. Open cmd.exe, cd to the 'ide' folder, and run the command 'python
CxnEditor.py' from the command window. If the program crashes, the output will
still be in the command window, and you can copy it to paste into a reply.
