        I only stated that, given the small glimpse of your app's needs, a 
dropdown list seemed like a poor choice for UI to me. I also dislike the notion 
of a control that looks like you should be able to interact with it, but when 
you click on it, nothing happens. Disabled controls look different for a 
reason. Since then you've given me more information, and it makes a little more 
sense. If it's working, that's even more reason not to change.
