Currently just Windows, because of recent trouble with py2exe distributing to 
Vista/Win7.

I don't know at the moment, sorry. I'll fire up that VM later to find out. 
Knowing me 
I wouldn't have chosen a pre-release but the latest one they claim as being 
"stable".

It is a different process, is all. Expect to sink a few hours.
