I use SQLite for my single-user version, and MySQL for multi-user. The choice of MySQL was simply that I'm an expert at it, and haven't had the time to ramp up with Postgres. My customers pay the license fees for MySQL so there's really no issue for me currently. I can't praise SQLite enough. Some of my customers use it in a multiuser environment even though I don't recommend it. It is fast, reliable, recovers from exceptional situations well, and easy to use. I have 75 customers or so using my product for going on 5 years now with no data corruption stories.
