        While that may seem confusing, including everything would be even more 
confusing. Dabo is not wx; in fact, we are agnostic when it comes to the 
underlying UI toolkit. wxPython was the first one we wrapped; we always hoped 
that there would be enough of an interest in other toolkits for someone to take 
on the task of wrapping those. The docs will apply to all, which is why we 
don't expose the messy details of any specific toolkit.

        We also try to wrap specific features as they are requested. Jacek 
first brought up FilterEvent two years ago, and as a result we made it possible 
to subclass UIApp so that he could customize it without adding wx-specific 
stuff into Dabo. And, FWIW, I did some research and found that when Dabo was 
created, FilterEvent() didn't exist in wxPython; it was in wxWidgets, but Robin 
felt it would be too much overhead to add at the Python layer. Guess he has 
since figured that one out. :)
