Okay. I tried the following : I pasted https://gist.github.com/anonymous/6af46d09460e1473c509 into the init method of the panel. Is this where it is supposed to go? If so it keeps throwing some weird exceptions telling me about the unbound init() method . Where exactly would I put the above code because I already have designed half my gui using the gui builder? I understand you said in the panel but in which method do I enter it.(Is the process different because I am using the gui builder)
Also would using a gif image make this kind of easier to achieve? If so once again how would I embed it into my app which I have built using the gui builder. And I dont really need to tell the user the amount of progress remaining or completed. Just a rotating ajax image is more than suffcient to tell him that the process is ongoing.
