Hi all and maybe Ed,
Sorry for my english and for my little beat idiot questions. I carry on to make some application with Dabo and I am "playing" with Dabo because it is very pleasant. I am not good in network but I am exploring Python with sockets. I have read about Springboard on dabo'site this : "one that uses Springboard, a Dabo application, to connect to web servers to download and execute standard Dabo desktop applications without having to first install Dabo, database adapters, or even Python itself." About your server I have some questions (if you are not too busy): 1 ) I am very interesting by this way to see application server, to do the smallest installation on the client ...etc. Can you give me some explanations about the logic of your Springboard server, it is based on sockets ? 2 ) and I don't understand how we can take Pylon that works with HTML (many times it is a web/html server) to work with ui wxPython ? How can you transform the capacity of the server to "give" wxPython'screen ? What are the setting in the server to do this ? 3) What is the logic to link the server and the client ? The server gives all the data and the screen with XRC ' client ? Or only data ? 3) Did you think that Twisted, for exemple, is able to do the same ? or all the web/html 's server ? 4) I have tried to find some explanations about the server/client application like your way on Internet but my research was not succefully. Maybe you know some books that give explanations about this logic ?
