I was a very slow learner and it took me a long while, but over the
years I've come to trust Git like almost no other tool. I think I now
probably understand and have passing familiarity with about 10% of
git's capabilities and functions. But all anyone really needs to get
at first is:
git config to set your name and email
git clone
git pull
git add
git rm
git commit
git push
git config to set aliases for commonly-used commands
Or you can go the GUI way with bzr-git or qgit.
