Sanhedrin 072: Kill or Be Killed

The Kollel replies:
The words "v'ha'Torah Amrah" in this Gemara mean "The Torah *is saying
here*." That is, the verse of Machteres that the Gemara is discusing, is
the source for killing a person who wants to kill you. This is the
intention of Rashi here. (See also Rashi Berachos 58a, Bava Kama 117b.
