Roshei Teivos in the "Friedman Shulchan Aruch"
S. Friedman <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> asked:
Here is a question for the kollel. In the new printing of the Shulchan
Orach (now called "Mahaduras Friedman") the roshei teivos koof-shin-kaf is
used frequently. For example, look at Choshen Mishpat Simon 1 siif 1 Shach
siif koton 1. You will see koof-shin-kaf in square brackets. What does
this mean? Thanks.
S. Friedman, Monsey, NY USA

The Kollel replies:
Sorry for the delay. I checked the Friedman Shulchan Aruch. The Roshei
Teivos you mentioned stand for "Kuntras Sham Kasuv", a section in the back
of that print of the Shulchan Aruch in which the editors included all the
full citations of the sources mentioned in the Shach and Rebbi Akiva Eiger
and Taz. They indeed did not make the deciphering of those Roshei Teivos
clear in their introduction, but that seems to be their intention.
Best wishes,
M. Kornfeld
