Cygwin98 1.3.6(0.4732) (with libdb) @ 13589 plus the flurry of patches
I did in the last few hours. Config'd default except for
-Duse64bitint.

the alarm.t is not specific to Cygwin.
This is. I have no idea why.
$ ./perl ../lib/Net/hostent.t
