English: The Rho Ophiuchi cloud complex is a star-forming region located only 400 light years from Earth. It is surrounded by a red emission nebula and numerous light and dark brown dust lanes. Nearby is the yellow star Antares while the globular cluster, M4, is visible between Antares and the red emission nebula.
