I'm going to ignore the religious opinions over what platform is better and just address one point raised:

This includes remote wipe, on-device encryption, disabling the installation of programs, prohibit use of wifi, etc. Many large companies are managing company owned iPhones and iPads just as they do BlackBerrys. Many BES administrators are loathed to investigate them as they intrude on their territory.
