So sometimes when people come to our office and I'm explaining how we're set up to them, I say things like "He manages the Unix team" and "He manages the Windows team". And they nod their heads, since how else would you set it up? But then I say "of course, half the people on the Unix team are doing Windows right now, and half the team on the Windows team are doing Unix. Crosstraining! Immunity is HUGE into cross-training." Then they look at me like I'm a bit crazier.
Because the reality is, you don't HAVE to crosstrain so heavily on all parts of the field. It's not strictly necessary. Perhapsyou're better off <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8mmzEiefjXw&feature=related> spending all your time looking at vague parts of the DNS or TCP/IP spec? Or perhaps not - you want to learn some stuff - and once again, Immunity is opening up our training to everyone at INFILTRATE 2012 <http://www.immunityinc.com/infiltrate/index.html>. That includes Unethical Hacking, Web App Exploitation, and of course, the Immunity Master Class. You can go here to see the amazing details: http://www.immunityinc.com/infiltrate/training.html Frankly, sitting down with Ronald for one day to learn his C auditing techniques is worth the price of admission to the whole event. At some point I'm going to take Ronald and Paul and put them in the same room and cause a C auditing singularity.
