its not new . but getting more widespread as i monitor the daily feeds
and news . engineers who worked in Telco and related
biz know it as basic that LI facilities ( usually huge protocols ,
specifications , etc - look ETSI ) are a must before you can
run a telco biz . local typical police , Narcos , Judicial offshoots and
internal intel services would not let a telecom
particularly in noticeable size go operating . this is the same anywhere
you live on planet . i am not challenging liberals
who like to chew Privacy ignoring other issues in a society in this mail
, i am simply stating facts as a former telco insider.
even if you are a satellite service provider with phones ( like BGAN or
Thuraya or even decades ago the Inmarsat Mini Ms )
your representatives or local/regional re sellers receive many serious
calls for LI access ports , or ELSE . this is even
the case with non-harsh govts with biz minded administrations , read the
case of India or Dubai and Blackberry for examples .
now i am looking at two sample behavior where running a net or cells
inside a net possible but no access to data
for Criminal investigations ( you would call it spying on Citizen , i
wouldnt care , not my battle in fact ) and both are
saying they wont give it up .
1.Apple says it cannot unlock the newer phones . only the customer must
provide the code . obviously we are talking
about data retained on a net device inside a telco . apple also says
there is no backdoor or govt port for unlocks .
2.Telegram officially states Iran wants access to data and this company
wont help with that .
all this shit , has one name : Telco without LI . net-connected devices
or protocols , data retained or in move
without LI . a funny character in a local tv series has a saying "what
to do ? what not to do ?" ( its funny
in its actual Farsi form ) . typical behavior is going for Exploits . i
dont intend to get into sophisticated debate
of Crypto war really . just simply stating a govt mindset that faces
organized crimes , foreign espionage ,
terrorist threats , child molesters , wholesale gun and drug dealers ,
banking fraud , white slavery , freedom
fighters or figures carrying that flag , national cases of murder or
terrorism .
when Companies officially say no LI , govt elements fight it a bit then
let it go and call Exploit dealers .
this also is not a new concept and believe or not , no device or
communication or "dead drop" is
unbreakable as "youngsters" like to believe based on brochures , pitches
, ads or promises .
while such official announcements particularly like apple's this week
and Telegrams will have other
implications like publicly Signalling all people : you can hide some
things "no matter what" if you can
keep your mouth shot -- its also an opportunity for Exploit dealers to

collect or buy better reverse engineering tools , skills and educations
, collect signals , assess codes ,
get focused , get fcking contracts mostly in very corrupt .sgov and .mil
